Jamie Eltink is our October Athlete of the Month!

What is your occupation? 

I like to say I do a bit of everything. Right now I work at the Child Development Center on Hill AFB.


Dancing and gymnastics are definitely my passions. I also adore my English Bulldog, Brutus.

Tell WCF something we don’t know about you?

For 9 months I professionally danced with the USO touring military bases. I visited 14 different countries during that time and that’s how I met my husband!

When did you start Cross Fitting?

I actually just started CrossFit 6 months ago!

What do you like most about WCF?

Oh, there is so much I love! However, I love how diverse all our coaches are. We’re so lucky to learn from them.

What was your 1st Crossfit workout?

Six 5-minute rounds of 500 m row and 25 wallballs. Rest the remaining time left in the 5 minutes.

In what ways has CrossFit changed your life?

I have gained so much confidence, not just physically but mentally.

Favorite Workout?

Oddly enough my favorite workout was “The Sevens”!

Least Favorite Workout / Movement?

It’s got to be a tie between wallballs and rowing. My height doesn’t really help me!

Any advice you would give to newbies?

Slow and steady! Go into every workout with a small goal that way you don’t get discouraged.


I like – living a military life.

Favorite cheat meal is – east coast pizza and all the Italian desserts.

I want – to visit Thailand.

I am – extremely motivated!
