What is your Occupation?

Quality Assurance Manager for an online education company.

Tell WCF something we don’t know about you?

I spent 10 years teaching middle school/high school English; I’m still certified.


When did you start Cross Fitting?

August 2013; started WCF in Oct. 2018.


What do you like most about WCF?

The people. I like the programming, but I love the friends I’ve made, the coaches & the amazing childcare workers who give me an hour of sanity.


What was your 1st CrossFit workout?

Very 1st-7 min AMRAP of 5 pull-ups, 10 push press, 15 squats; 1st @ WCF-Fran.


In what ways has CrossFit changed your life?

As a 41 year old mom of 3, I’m stronger & healthier than I’ve ever been.  I was a kid who dreaded gym class & neve played sports; now I think workouts are fun & I love being active with my family.


Favorite Workout?

Long AMRAPS (Cindy) and/or ones w/ lots of variety (The Seven, Filthy 50).


Least Favorite Workout/movement?

Wall Balls & Thrusters…which are essentially the same movement really.


Any advice you would give to newbies?

Don’t get caught up comparing yourself to others.  Do track your own scored & results (including scaling) so you can see your personal improvements.

Favorite cheat meal is…a bacon cheeseburger & a good dessert.  Wine.
