Being tall there aren’t many things in crossfit that I have an advantage at, except for one, rowing! It kills me to see people waist their stroke on the rower. Its the explosive drive through the heels, and the long hard pull that gets the meters. Once you have that down, if you can pick up your pace with the same explosive, long stroke you will be golden. Don’t make yourself “shorter” than you really are by going so fast your flywheel cant catch up. There is an order to rowing, as I teach those I have in bootcamp, legs then torso, then arms and the return is reversed, arms, torso, legs. Its an explosive movement, drive, pull, release, return. In this video you will see many common errors that we all make and how we should actually row. Today is a great time to work on the right technique!
