By: Bob Haywood Fri, 29 Mar 2013 14:38:22 +0000 After doing 13.4 @ Rx (115# for us oldy guys) and then pulling off those 3 TTBs, it proves to me, beyond any shadow of doubt this ‘crazy thing called CF’ is mind over matter PLUS good coaching. There is no way in hell I could have possibly done this without the coaching of Damon that morning BEFORE the WOD. It just happened.

All the coaching at WCF and WCFN is simply the best every day and it all makes a difference in the end if you just hear what is being said at each workout.

Add to that the WCF community rallying around for that push just plain makes it work – even for a guy 67. Thanks Jenn F. for yelling at me all the way through.

Here is my takeaway so far from the Open – I can do far more than I give my self credit for. So from here on out my philosophy for EVERY WOD every day is try harder for the Rx. If I am the slowest of 200 so be it.

Yes, of course I will be safe Mom, that’s why coaches Amy, Carol, Mikaela, Adrian, Dave, and Jen stop me from doing foolish things – they know me.

Finally thanks to my daughter Kim A, and sil Shane for setting examples for me at CVCF Logan. Brad has no idea how lucky he is up there!

Thanks WCF – all of you.

And thanks to my supporting wife Suz, for letting me change the times I have to vacuum and paint, to do this stuff! Love ya. :)
